Iron and Invictus massed next door to our station system, then gave us 5 minutes notice that they were setting us from blue to red. Then they jumped in and attacked. About 130 or so, 80 being BS.
They took down the station services and attemped to take out the POS with the cyno jammer, but after 2 hours their BS fleet just took down 2 large batteries and lost 5-6 ships and gave up.
I have a lot of respect for Virt and TJ form Invictus, and we have always been friends with Iron. It is a pity for it to do down like this, but thats Eve.

For the record on the attack on the POS, oxide did have several starbase gunners, and plenty of arty of every type. Iron and Invictus were warping in at sniping on the far side of the POS away from the warp disruptor battery, attempting at have all their snipers at 151km or more, so as to avoid being scrammed, but still within range of the other batteries. When targeted they naturally warped a several hundred off and were reped if damaged. Mind you we had few ship not trapped in station at the time because of the surprise attack, so the little support on the POS in question.
Even then under focused fire from the POS guns they had to move around often limiting efficiency, and naturally we got the ships that wandered to close. 2 hours of that and they did manage to take out 2 of the large batteries. Eventually their BS fleet just got too thin and they broke off that attack.
Just wanted to give a impartial account for those that asked.

Truth be told Iron and Invictus withdrew because they know Smashkill will be steamrolling B-7 within 24 hours.

Tonight one of my pilots had an interesting chat with an OXIDE pilot... Apparently, we were no longer blue to OXIDE. They were still however blue to us. Apparently we were supposed to attack them or something ???
Anyway, as of post-DT today OXIDE were reset because apparently we're no longer blue to them :o.
Pretty sure we're not going to be in B-7 within 24 hours :o I mean, if there's an invite, but we don't have it planned :o
I'm seriously thinking of putting spies in other alliances so I know what we're supposed to be doing :o
We were told that we would be removed by Smashkill and friends within 24 hours by Peoke. We were told we were reset at of 0300 yesterday by him. Naturally Smash and Roadkill generally follow each other in military operations.

Sadly it really isn't. DMC via Fletcher told us that we had to merge with DMC, or they would not help us with reds, which was iron and invictus at the time. We were told that if we did merge with them, that we would get to keep the station and that they would immediately help us. We didn't go that way because it was seen as coercion or extortion form a friend.
As for moons we have 15 out of the 18 moons covered at that point, and the only reason we had any open was a corp swapping 3 out for another alliance corp.
I can understand the pressure DMC was under not to help and the risks helping us would have brought them though.
